Symposium: Achieving Sustainability through Collaboration |
|
Sweden is recognised worldwide as a leader in managing change. Swedes know how to achieve consensus within organisations and communities facing a complex and rapidly changing world - they allow people to develop solutions together. This one-day symposium has been developed in collaboration with the University of Auckland Business School, and will allow you to develop a clear vision of sustainability, and a plan to implement it.
You’ll be able to identify specific changes that will need to take place over the next 50 years, to ensure business practices are transformed from “Business as Usual” to “Business as Sustainable” Are you currently risking the survival of humanity itself, by placing short term profits above long term sustainability? Is this a future you’re proud to pass on to future generations? Here is your chance to lead public opinion, not follow it! We will be seeking fresh ideas on implementing change from all participants!
In the afternoon, participants will consider nine issues identifed by the Swedish-based Tallberg Foundation. These create an overview of the problems facing humanity today, and are designed to establish a framework for change in both personal and business practices. This segment is entitled, “How on Earth Can We Live Together?” It challenges everyone to make real changes in their personal and business lives, in a format never before presented to New Zealand audiences. A workbook will be supplied to track ideas and actions.
